Cody & Sandons's Famous Chicken & Dumplin's
This recipe might be a little hard to follow.. it has been in my head and not on paper but i wanted to add it just for Aunt Judy!
ingredients
- Whole Chicken
- Onion Powder
- Poultry Seasoning
- Salt & Pepper
- 3/4 Stick butter (Melted)
- 2 Cups sifted flour
- 1 Egg
- Milk
directions

Boil whole chicken for 1 1/2 hours.

Use onion powder, poultry seasoning and salt. Set chicken aside to cool.

-Dumplings-

2 cups sifted flour, salt and pepper to taste. Add 3/4 stick of melted butter and one egg and enough milk to make a workable dough.

Roll out on floured surface and cut into strips.

Drop other 1/4 stick butter into broth and bring to a boil and drop strips into broth.

Cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes without lifting the lid.

And don’t forget to de-bone your chicken.
