Best Beef Stew Ever
This beef stew will warm you up on the coldest of nights! It is tender and delicious.
ingredients
- 3 lbs stew meat
- 1 can light beer
- 3 tbsp beef bouillon
- 3 tbsp dry mustard
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1-1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1-1 1/2 tsp thyme
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 tbsp flour or cornstarch
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 2 cups onion, cut in chunks
- 5 small red or white potatoes, quartered
- 1/2 bag baby carrots
- 28 oz diced tomatoes

In a glass mix 1/2 of the beer, beef bouillon, mustard, and tomato paste.

Place stew meat in a large stock pot and pour beer mixture over and stir well.

Add rest of the beer, and all of the other ingredients except potatoes, carrots, and flour. Stir and bring to a boil. Cover and turn down heat to simmer. Cook for 3-4 hours stirring occasionally.

30 minutes before serving, add potatoes and carrots. Add flour to a small amount of water and mix well. Add to stew 5 minutes before serving to thicken just a little.
