Venison Tenderloin

When one has a lot of venison in one’s house, the recipes can get quite creative. Here’s one even the kids are proud of.

ingredients

  • 2 venison tenderloins, thawed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp savory
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 C + drizzle olive oil
  • pat of butter

    Preheat oven to 400°

    Preheat pan to medium to high heat with a drizzle of olive oil & a pat of butter in it.

    Mix garlic, salt, pepper, savory, oregano, parsley & basil with 1/4 C olive oil.

    Brush tenderloins with mixture. Sear on both sides in frying pan. After putting tenderloins in glass dish drizzle the rest of the oil from frying pan over tenderloins. Deglaze pan with a little water. Pour water on tenderloins too. Put tenderloins in oven for 10-15 min or until done. They should still be pink in the middle. Enjoy!
