Marinated Flank Steak
ingredients
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium shallot, minced
- 3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 1 pound flank steak, trimmed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Combine the garlic, shallot, soy sauce, vinegar, oregano, and thyme in a zip-close bag: add the steak . Refridgerate and turn occasionally for 4 hours or overnight.

Spray the broiler rack and pre-heat.

Remove steak from marinade and sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper and place on broiler rack. Broil 5 inches from heat about 5 minutes per side. Let cool for about 5 minutes then cut at an agle against the grain into 12 slices.
