Chicken Salad Gets a Makeover

Just when you thought you were going to have to phone it in for your annual Labor Day get-together comes this game-changing riff on chicken salad. The classic dish gets an upgrade thanks to the addition of crisp apples and toasty pecans, but it’s still got the tried-and-true combination of juicy chicken, creamy mayo, and celery that we all love. No time to cook the chicken? Pick up a rotisserie bird and you’re good to go.

You can serve it with lettuce cups, multi-grain crackers or our favorite way—by putting those extra hot dog buns to good use. Bonus: It’s even better the next day. Stuff the leftovers into a pita pocket for a fuss-free portable lunch. Goodbye summer, hello new desk lunch.
